Annual CPANS AGM and Conference, April 28th and 29th
CPANS is hosting their annual AGM and a conference titled "Turning Down the Heat on Climate Change" April 28th and 29th, 2008 at the Banff Center. The conference will bring together experts on Climate Change policy, technological approaches to reducing GHG emissions and other related topics. This will be the place to learn more about what has been proposed and why. Presenters will discuss what the potential implications are for industry and producers and what changes are possible to move us closer to a sustainable developmental model. New regulatory processes and their requirements will be discussed. Officials from government, industry, NGO, and other sectors will provide their insight into these new processes and offer technological alternatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Pros and cons of the regulatory versus market-based policies to reach specific target reductions will also be evaluated.
