AIR & WASTE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization that enhances knowledge and expertise by providing a neutral forum for information exchange, professional development, networking opportunities, public education, and outreach to more than 8,000 environmental professionals in 65 countries. A&WMA also promotes global environmental responsibility and increases the effectiveness of organizations to make critical decisions that benefit society.
The Mission of A&WMA is to assist in the professional development and critical environmental decision-making of our members to benefit society.
The Core Purpose of A&WMA is to improve environmental knowledge and decisions by providing a neutral forum for exchanging information.
CANADIAN PRAIRIE AND NORTHERN SECTION
The Canadian Prairie and Northern Section was formed in 1987 after a long affiliation with the Pacific Northwest International Section. The Canadian Prairie and Northern Section is geographically one of
the largest sections of the A&WMA, encompassing the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories.
It is our vision to be the premier organization promoting air and waste management within
our geographical region.

To promote the advancement of knowledge relating to air and waste management issues.
To provide a forum for the exchange of information on these issues.
To provide professional development opportunities for its members.
To further the objectives of the A&WMA.
